A very pleasant work day. Opened the garage door to enjoy the mid-60's temperatures here in New England while listening to Beatles tunes on internet radio.
Spent the afternoon mocking-up the nosegear and engine installation. I wanted to evaluate where all the holes will need to be in the firewall and where there might be interference issues.
Installed the tri-gear mount and nosewheel. Mounted the accessory plate to the motor mount. Mounted the case (no internals) to the accessory plate. At his point the CG has move forward of the main gear so there is some weight on the nose wheel.
Installed the cylinder head studs and cylinders. Installed the cylinder heads and valve covers. As others have found, I needed to shorten the top center head studs in order for the intake manifolds to fit. Installed the intake pipes and exhaust pipes.
